Music Review: When a New York-based friend of mine sent me the link to this Mark Clennon video I was like what is this ?! The song’s called Kingston and I was expecting the typical scruffy dancehall stuff. Then I watched it and wow. It was surprising, refreshing, and needed.
I was watching a queer-positive story unfold against the backdrop of gorgeous shots of the hills and views of Kingston, Jamaica. Damn, I loved it. Watched it 4 times and passed it on to my queer friends and the reactions ranged from Wow, Wonderful, to I wished they kissed, Do they still live in Kingston? and Damn, I just watched it again.
